Xhilarate has been a remote company since its inception. Here are ways we stay connected and engaged and how you can maintain your company’s culture when everyone is working remotely.

+ Conduct livestream town hall meetings on either Mondays or Fridays or both
+ Host virtual coffee breaks at the same time every morning to bring your team together
+ Celebrate birthdays, work anniversaries and other relevant milestones—virtually

Virtual team stretch breaks and check-ins throughout the day

+ 15 mins in the AM/PM

  • Staff taught yoga and /or meditation sessions
  • Virtual games—spin prize wheel, two truths and a lie, name that tune

Create an employee only portal, Facebook page, Instagram, Twitter feed, Slack Channel

  • Post photos of remote workstations and have team vote for the best, funniest, most unique
  • Share experiences, concerns, solutions, knowledge about coronavirus
  • Share challenges with kids being at home and how parents/partners are working through them

Distribute daily screensavers with inspirational quotes, fun facts, images

Encourage community service—help the elderly and those who are most at risk, hold a food drive for your local food bank

Solute those in your community who are on the front line and share their story via social media

Continue to strengthen your team through Virtual team building sessions.

Staying true to your brand’s verbal and visual expression can be challenging with team members being so dispersed. There are simple ways in which you can keep your brand fresh, relevant and connected from remote working locations.

Brand Guidelines

  • Use this time to develop or update your brand guidelines
  • Develop an intranet site for remote access and approvals
  • Put a structure and procedures in place for the review and approval of all visual and verbal branding components

Your website (Now more than ever your website is your primary marketing tool)
+ Is content up-to-date?
+ Is the look and feel consistent with your brand?

  • Does it match the latest updates to your brand’s visual and verbal expressions?
  • Are there dated photos of team members who no longer work with you?
  • Are there photos that can be offensive given the current climate?

+ Is the messaging appropriate for today’s health concerned environment?
+ Do you need to add any messaging relevant to Covid-19?

  • Perhaps develop a Covd-19 landing page for all relevant information

+ Is it ADA compliant for the aging and disabled customers?
